Lusty Glaze Beach Festival |
 |
Now, to put a smile on your faces and to dream of a long hot summer ahead, please find attached the briefing notes and application forms I have submitted to Lusty Glaze today for this year's beach rugby festival.
I have submitted two team applications - the Ols Comets (girls) and the Flaming Comets (U17lads and U59 Dads).
Can you please :
1. Confirm you are attending.
2. Confirm you are playing in one of the teams (girls, dont worry if you are shown as a reserve, you will all play, its just to follow the Lusty Glaze rules)
3. Get moving on your booking of accomodation. Julie, Alex and I will be attending and staying at the Tregurrian campsite again. If any of the girls want to stay together, we will bring down our monster tent which sleeps 8. Amy will be volunteered as the tent monitor as she did a fantastic job of organising everyone last year (yes I mean you Mabel/DNA girl).

Firstly, a big thank you to everyone for all your organising and playing efforts yesterday. Becky, I do hope your back is feeling better - lots of hot baths and parent pampering normally does the trick !
Congratulations to the Tag team for a very creditable 3rd place on a wintry day, beating a rather cold, depleted and faintly miserable Yardley team 8 - 6 in the final. Evesham were absolutely on fire yesterday and it is something of a nice twist that Bournville nicked the final off them, winning the main trophy also by 8 tries to six.
We are still top of the West Midlands Girls tag league however Evesham gained a point on us yesterday - so we are two points head of them.
As you are all aware we are now officially part of the Old Leamintonians LRFC. This gives you girls a fantastic opportunity to progress through the ranks of Rugby to one of the best clubs in the county!
